MMC Supporting the Center for Grieving Children

The journey of grief can be especially challenging for children who are trying to understand the loss of a loved one. For many of these young individuals, support and resources are essential for their healing process. This is where the Center for Grieving Children plays a vital role. It provides a safe place for grieving children, offering them compassion and community.

MMC members raised $2,637.11 during the summer of 2025 with the Ride for a Mile Charity Ride sponsored by Moody's Collision, Stockhouse Restaurant, and Hardy Wolfe & Downing. This charity ride was to benefit The Center for Grieving Children who offers vital programs specifically geared towards helping children and their families who are facing loss. These programs help children articulate their emotions, comprehend their grief, and realize they are not alone. The center facilitates peer support groups and provides access to trained counselors. As a result, children can share their experiences in a judgment-free zone—a luxury that many do not have at school or home.
