What Is Honor Flight Maine?

Honor Flight Maine is part of the larger Honor Flight Network, a nonprofit organization dedicated to transporting veterans to Washington, D.C., to visit the memorials built in their honor. The program focuses on veterans who served in World War II, the Korean War, and the Vietnam War, many of whom are elderly and face health challenges that make travel difficult.

The mission is simple but powerful: to provide veterans with a day filled with respect, recognition, and gratitude. Volunteers organize flights, coordinate logistics, and ensure every veteran receives the care and attention they deserve during the trip.

MMC put on a Touch a Bike event at the Cross Insurance Arena Ice Races along with a raffle and 50/50 to benefit Honor Flight Maine.
